Elizabeth Priestly Siffert, principal oboe

Elizabeth Priestly Siffert is a graduate of Houston's High School for the Performing and Visual

Arts. She went on to study with Richard Killmer at the Eastman School of Music where she graduated with a Bachelors of Music and the distinction of being one of the only students to ever receive two Performer's Certificates as an undergraduate. 


She joined the orchestras of the Houston Grand Opera and Houston Ballet as Principal Oboe in the 2008/2009 season. She previously the was the Principal Oboist of Orquestra Clássica da Madeira in Portugal for four years.


Ms. Priestly Siffert also enjoys solo work and has performed as a soloist around the world with many orchestras including the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra,  Orquesta de Camera de Mineria and the Orchestra of Saint Luke's.
